In class we have often discussed address translation for both32-bit and 48-bit addresses, using 4KB pages. We saw that 32-bitaddress translation uses two 10-bit fields to index into pagetables, while 48-bit address translation uses four 9-bit fields toindex into page tables. Brie y explain why the latter uses only 9bits instead of 10. for a 32-bit architecture with 4KB pages.
