The IT Department at Citywide Community College developed acomputer security incident response plan that requires users toprovide information for each security incident. Louis Hermann, theIT manager, inventoried the major components of the college’scomputer systems and created a spreadsheet to track the equipmentby manufacturer, model number, and serial number. He decided toconfine the list to major computer components, and he does not tryto track keyboards, mice, and so forth.
