However, misuse of the platform has had an adverse effect on users as well as organizations they work for through tarnishing company names. As BeautyCo wishes to roll out a social media policy to regulate on use of the platform, it would be important to know that employees’ privacy is paramount. The management wishes to mitigate the impact of negative use of social media to avert a similar scenario as Coty’s. Formulating a social media strategy would be instrumental in ensuring that employees draw a boundary between work issues and private life. Social media privacy protects the personal life of a user and not even employers are allowed to delve into it. However, beauty management is aware of what careless use of social media particularly by most young employees could spell doom for the company.
