The classical music of Indian is both expressive and elaborate just like Western classical music though; it mostly focuses on creativeness (Vijayakrishnan, 2007). The Indians play the music over a fixed drone based on one melody and it is monophonic in nature. In the Indian classical music performances, Duets are becoming prevalent though; traditionally it was a solo undertaking. The ragas or colors-melodies and scales provide the basis for the performance of Indian traditional music.
