United States (U.S.) is one of the countries whose people are facing enormous issues of cyber-bullying. The technological advancement as well as increased access to a broad range of internet connecting, electronic devices have made a significant number of social media users fall victim of bullying. Landau (2013) indicated that about 25% of teenagers in the U.S. are experiencing cyber-bullying at one point every year. From a survey of about 15,000 students from middle school and high school levels, Landau found that the situation was worsening in time because it was evident that approximately 10% of teens in the U.S. had experienced cyber-bullying of a certain nature in only the past 30 days. The common repercussions of the increased rate of social media bullying are aggression, teasing, harassment, and humiliation.
