People are brought up in different environments and the moral standards that are set by the individuals that are close to them play an integral role in the manner in which a person may turn out. The rationale for this is that people behave in the same manner as the individuals that they like and admire, hence, in order to have their respect they do anything to get such individual’s approval including engaging in a life of crime. For instance, the highest crime and delinquency rates are in neighborhoods that are economically down, where basic amenities are not available and such areas have poor housing, health problems, and the highest rates of employment.
