For instance, whenever a kid sees a product advertised and later accompanies a parent to the supermarket, he or she will actively urge the parent to purchase the commodity. The commodity may not be suitable for the use of a kid but might be meant for adults (Linn, 2004). This shows that the kid ends up influencing parents in critical decision-making and acquiring influential commodities. Several scholars argue that in developed economies shopping malls, items that are highly advertised on televisions should be placed on the lower shelves. Kids will identify the item and convince their parents to purchase it.
