Content analysis is a quantitative method used in research that involves interpretation and coding written data to draw useful conclusions. Although content analysis consists of the use of textual data, other types of data such as video, audio and any other qualitative data can be analyzed using this method by first converting them to text. Researchers employ this method in analyzing materials that could otherwise not be analyzed using traditional conventional methods.
