Normally, there are a number of systems with different continuity needs considering the levels of critical methods to the organization. The risk assessment process for the classification of systems needs to be formal but does not need to utilize any of the particular methods that would categorize the effects of the system being unavailable in terms of high, medium or low modes of criticality. An appropriate business continuity plan for every system in the case of SanGrafix can be produced. Risk assessment should be done for each system that forms part of the company’s infrastructure. The end result of the risk assessment should be the categorization for the systems depending on the criticality of the business processes. The levels of criticality would be determined depending on the effects of the failure of the system.
