As the semester commenced, I had particular perceptions about the creativity, innovation and design concepts. First, when it came to idea generation techniques, I expected it to be more of individual thoughts that arose from usual activities. I did not expect the idea generation to be wholly focused on setting a time limit that would enhance the viability of the idea. I anticipated the techniques to be complicated and that they would be based on an individual’s opinion. For instance, I did not for once consider that engaging other people in generating ideas would result in practical solutions that could be viable in handling particular situations (Beghetto and Kaufman, 2007, p. 73).
