In regards to the investigation of deaths all deaths have to be classified under the four categories that are provided. Deaths may follow the class of natural causes, suicides, accident and homicides. Moreover, in determining the way in which the death occurred the investigators have to consider the characteristic of the decedent, the cause of death, the circumstances and surrounding the death for each individual case.
