Discuss the Dependent and Independent Variables Relating to Self-esteem and Stress

Answer preview

In social sciences, dependent variables are significant since they determine the aspects which can be measured to establish a cause (Gravetter and Walnau, 2016). Therefore, about self-esteem, one of the dependent variables would be high or low levels of self-esteem. It is easy to measure high self-esteem since a person has a perfect opinion and accurate view of themselves hence they easily overlook their flaws.  On the other hand, low self-esteem people have extremely low negative value on their ideas, and they tend to pay much attention to their weaknesses (Brown, 2014).
