Find a recent (2017) article from a news outlet that details a crime. In your post, provide details of the crime, its disposition (what happened to the accused) as well as a link to the article. Then, I would like you to use one of the theories of social deviance from Chapter 6 to try to explain and/or justify the criminal act. Explain the theory and why you believe it fits.

On 5th June 2017, a government contractor, Reality Leigh Winner was charged with leaking sensitive information to a news outlet. According to the article, the Department of Justice declared that Reality Leigh Winner was charged with mailing classified information to a news outlet. It is apparent that the classified material was removed from a government facility and it was a threat to national security. Reality Leigh Winner is one of the contractors with Pluribus International Corporations that is assigned to a United States administration agency facility in Georgia (“Federal Contractor Charged With Leaking Classified Information to ‘The Intercept'”, 2017). The article has disclosed that Winner was responsible for printing and improperly taking away classified intelligence reporting that comprised of sensitive national defense data from an intelligence community organization, and illegally preserving it.
