Answer Preview

Undertaking of the project revealed that having a perioperative guideline in place for the high risk population could improve the patient outcomes significantly. These outcomes can be utilized as the main justification for the adoption of the project guidelines which were being employed during the study. The safety initiative would be integrated into the nursing care plan which would ensure the reduction of the cost required for the implementation of the project. While the report established the possibility of the project being implemented, there is a major limitation identified. This is the lack of champion for change and variance in the audit which is undertaken to determine the feasibility of the project within a practical situation.
