Answer preview

The United States is profoundly distressed by violence and crime enabled by transnational criminal organizations with the inclusion of drug cartels. The smuggling networks of the drug cartels undermine the border security, which in turn inflicts harm in the communities, as well as, intimidates the solidity of the United States associates in the region.  Andrew Seele stated “No country in the world affects daily life in the United States more than Mexico. The two countries are deeply intertwined, and what happens on one side of the border necessarily has consequences on the other side” (Carey & Marak, 2018).
