EXECUTIVE SUMMARY of the business idea and why you have chosen it. Provide a detailed
timeline of steps to implement your plan over a 60 day period. (The timeline does not have
to be complete sentences, just a timeline of steps).
Business Idea:
1. What is your fashion business idea? This can be a product or a service.
My business idea involves development of a duo-functioning costume for women that can
be won for swimming and in pro-casual setting. The costume will be waterproof, can let
surfacing water dry in 5 minutes under normal weather, and will have extreme mini-sized
sleeves on hands and below waist.
2. What motivates you to do this?
One of the major factors driving the world today is the need for convenience. The duo-
functioning, waterproof costume will offer women in casual workplace a chance to swim
during lunchtime hour without worrying of carrying extra clothes or time-consuming
changing period.
3. What evidence is there that the problem needs to be solved?
Most of casual jobs are characterized by strict timing, exhaustion, and being sweaty. For
women, staying clean is one of their prominent values, and duo-functioning costume will be
efficient in covering these extreme demands.
4. What do you want people to experience or feel from your idea?
I want people to know that women values and self-esteem can still be held high in casual
jobs where staying clean and fresh would be guaranteed without wasting any quality time
for the work.
5. How will it change fashion, the world or a part of it?
The new fashion duo-functioning costume will change the mentality of those who think that
women in casual jobs are less convenient as compared to men because the users will have
no extra time spend in freshening up during short-breaks.

Staying clean is one of the women’s greatest values (Gill, 2007, p. 62 and Twigg, 2015). Most women face a common issue of spending extra time during daybreaks to freshen-up, particularly the ones specializing in casual jobs. When women strive to sustain their cleanliness, stereotypical beliefs emerge concerning in considering them incapable as men as in career lines (Briar, 2004; Young Women’s Christian Association, 2009, p. 2; and Max & Miller, 2015). Motivated by an intention to prove capability of women, the new business will involve development of duo-functioning costume for women as a product meant for tackling this issue. Duo-functioning costume is a garment that can be worn in places of casual work and be used as a swimming costume based on its design and fabric.
