The aim of this study is to provide a comprehensive analysis of Tesco’s cost-leadership strategy and its effectiveness to help Tesco compete in the highly competitive retail industry. The relevance of this study includes explicating the strengths and weaknesses of cost leadership as applied in Tesco’s competitive strategy. The findings of this study can help actors in the retail industry to exploit opportunities associated with cost leadership.
