Answer preview

Kerry Ellison was employed as revenue manager with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in San Mateo, California. Kerry Ellison claimed that another worker Sterling Gray had been sexually insulting her thus developing unfriendly working environment. In addition to this, she alleged that this insult was an infringement of Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. The lawsuit redefined sexual harassment in the place of work by assessing the case more from the complainant’s viewpoint other than stereotyped concepts.
