Encouraging gender equality across international firms – what role can change management approaches take in supporting increased female representation in masculine firms?

This study will adopt a qualitative research design. This approach is suggested for its strength, allowing the researcher to study a social phenomenon in its real-life context. According to Becker, Bryman, and Ferguson (2012), qualitative researcher allows the connection of theoretical and inductive elements, including the research phenomenon from an interpretive perspective; in this case, the research part is the perception of top level managers in international firms on the promotion of female representation. Given the researcher will examine the standpoint of selected managers on international firms, the qualitative approach is a rational choice.
