In the short clip, Coach Herman Boone knows that he has a capable group of team players that can create a strong and capable team to win the upcoming football games for the season. However, he knows that in order to build a pro-winning team, he has to lead the change by forcing team members to unite and avoid succumbing into racism divisions whose definite result is to pull them down and obstruct them from winning. Coach Boone knew that the racial division between the whites and the people of color could only be eliminated by creating one team out the mixed races. In this case, Boone required of the football members that they are assignment to spend time with a member of different race every day, learning the teammate concerning likes and dislikes, and report back to the coach until everyone meets with each of the football teammates (01:00).
