Use the Running Case on page 265 of the textbook to complete the following task for the Recreation and Wellness Intranet Project.
Using the work breakdown structure (WBS) and Gantt chart you produced in Unit V, propose three to five additional activities that would help a project manager estimate required resources and activity duration. Write a one-to two-page paper describing the activities and the justification/rationale for your estimates.
All sources used must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations. All references and citations used must be in APA style, and a title page should be included.

Use the Running Case on page 265 of the textbook to complete the following task for the Recreation and Wellness Intranet Project.
Using the Gantt chart created in Unit V and the new activities created in the Unit VI Assignment, create a new Gantt chart using the project management software of your choice. Include your estimated task durations, and enter the task dependencies as appropriate while keeping in mind the original scheduling goal of six months. Submit a copy of the new Gantt chart along with a copy of your network diagram; the Gantt chart and the network diagram should be pasted into a single Microsoft Word document.

Project duration estimation is not an easy job to do. A manager should have some knowledge in best practices application, various theories and methodologies. Duration estimation is a long procedure. If it is a long term project, it also takes time. Preferably, the core project team should be involved in the estimation of the period, thus as per the period, a schedule can be developed which will be the project’s milestone. This will lead to better understanding as to why deriving the projects’ duration is important. Duration of estimation can either be of a product phase or project phase. This duration can be changed as the project’s new activities are identified and as work progresses. In the beginning, project estimation can be done based on the diagram of the network. Additionally, modification can be done based on the project’s changes during the monitoring, controlling and execution process.
