Forensic investigation process involves collection of criminal evidence with an objective of reaching certain goals. As common activities in a forensic investigation process, detectives, patrol officers, and other forensic investigators are mainly involved with searching and identifying witnesses and victims, interviewing identified or possible witnesses and victims, writing and reading reports, and collecting implicative materials in a crime scene. Forensic investigation process is aimed at trying to collect as much evidence as possible because perpetrators normally try to leave very limited amounts or implications of evidence in order to help criminal justice to make effective verdicts.
