Gerstmann syndrome is a neurological disorder that occurs as a result of brain damage or as a natural developmental disorder (Rusconi & Kleinschmidt, 2011). The disorder is characterised by incapacity of the neurological functions such as inability to perform mathematical calculations, inability to write, inability to identify the right and the left side of the body and inability to identify one’s fingers. Classic syndrome occurs when all the four neurological dysfunctions occurs concurrently with mental retardation.
