Conduct research on the company and choose a department.  Create an organizational chart for that department to include the name and title of the head of that department (that information is easy to obtain in such large organizations).  The organizational chart should be clear, attractive, detailed and easy to understand.  Please deliver in any format you prefer, but it should be as professional as possible.  In addition to the organizational chart, please include a job description for one job in the department.  The department chosen must have eight to ten different positions.  All positions must be listed.  For example, if your company is Yahoo (not a choice) and you choose Human Resources and that department has one SVP, two VPs and six HRDs, that must be evident in the organizational chart but only one job description per position is needed.  Please present the organizational chart, job description and a summary. The summary should be no less than three paragraphs and each paragraph should have at least six sentences.  The summary must list the sources of your research as well as a description of the department and a brief overview of how each position listed on the organizational chart impacts the organization.

You should submit:

An organizational chart with eight to ten different positions listed.

Job description for chosen position. (1 page)

A summary(1page)

A reference page.

Statistics have revealed that Microsoft Corporation is one of the American wealthiest and most successful firms across the globe. From a human resource viewpoint, Microsoft Corporation is an employee driven organization. Bill Gates is believed to be the driving force and from the start of the firm, the CEO believed in recruiting exceptionally intelligent workforce. It is clear that Bill Gates prefers hiring talented staff rather than individuals who have experience in their careers. In addition to this, Bill Gates believes that smart individuals are always aggressive and they are committed in their allocated tasks (Rao, 2008).
