Research shows that intellectuals believe that immigration law in America must undergo mandatory reforms to rescue the current situation. At present in spite of a high presence of immigrants in America, the country is grappling with a deficit in human resource. Fareed Zakaria in an article in the Time Magazine acknowledges the presence of the astronomical population of immigrants in America and the irony of the struggling companies due to lack of skilled labour. He reveals the reason for this is because most immigrants almost two thirds in America are there due to family unification and not really for work. In the article he compares America to other countries whom he says allow talented and skilled immigrants to fill the labour gaps e.g. Canada.
