Answer preview

In the article, the author focuses their research concerns on the non-physical aggression present in intimate relations (Arriaga & Schkeryantz, 2015). Even though close relationships are helpful and can help partners grow it is essential to acknowledge that several issues may arise from such relationships. Physical aggression is well documented. However, there is growing interest non-physical aggression which includes partners being overly sarcastic, verbal denigration and intimidation, controlling tendencies among other issues. Non-physical aggression also includes threats that allude to violent behavior that will likely harm the vulnerable partner.
