While the English language offers a world of advantages, having it a global linguae Francae creates a possibility political and even cultural domination. This means for those whose English is not a first language, there is a possibility of neo-colonialization from the countries that have English as a first language. This means as the world embraces English fully there is need for the development of substitute perceptions which are only possible through the institution of educational and multilingual language policies that are tailor made to individual cultural groupings. While some languages existed due to economic and the need to dominate English has spread and gained traction because of reasons such as the militarization of some world economies, due to economic, technological and scientific reasons especially in America (Allard 2006). The country has continued to be a super power a position which Frath notes remains unchallenged in spite of increased acts of terrorism.
