Rationale
This assignment is designed to get you thinking about your final project well in advance of its due date. Because the final assignment will rely heavily on the usage of different presentation technologies, it is essential to become familiar with them now. This assignment gives you the opportunity to devise a strategy well beforehand that can be adapted later on.
Invention
The invention phase of this assignment is primarily driven by the research questions/thesis you developed in your project proposal, with the addition of some online investigation.
You should be concerned primarily with three areas:
1) What is your overall plan? In relatively general terms, please describe how you will approach developing a multi-media documentary, and why do you think this is the most appropriate approach?
2) In specific terms, provide a listing of possible presentation technologies, and how you may plan to use them
3) What research do you currently have that would be the most appropriate for developing this plan, and why.
Answer Preview
This approach is the best in the development of the documentary owing to the formal qualities expected to characterize the final product. Essentially, the actual occurrences will be augmented by imaginary ones. It provides a leeway of blending the actual and imaginations to create a performative documentary of how JonBenet Ramsey was lured into abduction. The performance will depend on the conventional ‘acting’ to associate the amplified emotional involvement to a role, experiencing the historical account in a vivid way. Through this approach, I will demonstrate knowledge and evoke the reality of what happened to JonBenet Ramsey.
