Museum Analysis–Visit any one of the following museums and prepare a five pages, double-spaced typewritten analysis: How well do the exhibits at this museum reflect the legacy of life? Include in this report a checklist (i.e. table) of the number and kinds of paleontological exhibits, the amount of space, and what types of paleoecological habitats are represented. Document your trip with a paid admission receipt, and illustrate your report with five representative photos (not postcards or cut-outs).. Each photo should have a caption describing it. The table-checklist, photos, and bibliography are not to be included as part of the written text. This project is worth up to 10% of your final grade. Any of the museums may be visited. Permission to visit other museums that have significant fossil and natural history collections may be granted in special circumstances if cleared first by the instructor.

Current visit to the San Diego Museum has given me an incredible knowledge and information about animals in the early period dating back to more than 70 million years ago. Rich fossils and evidence of ancient of history of animals that were found in California will be very crucial in my future life and professionals goals. From the visit, I was able to acquire knowledge about the existence of sea cows more than 50 million years ago. I also gained knowledge about the existence certain kinds of fish like clam-sucker and fish-chaser that exploited foods from different resources. Moreover through the visit, I acquired information about the existence sand dollar also known as seashells on the coaches. I also became aware plate tectonics that were evident more than 20 million years ago.
