Developed by American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), synergy model for patient care has been applied across different nursing units, as it is involved with recognizing the need for matching nurses’ competence with the needs and characteristics as well as clinical unit (Finkelman, 2016). There is a major reason I chose the synergy model. Generally, nurses attain skills and knowledge that enable them to handle patients requiring different types of health care, but the diversity among patients based on the social, economic, and political backgrounds can create rebelling scenario to extend that a nurse would not be able to deliver the required service. I have seen several cases of this nature in a heath care institution I worked with.
