The patient education material that I selected for this submission is entitled “Hearty Humor” by John Hawkins. The material is a cartoonish animation, which contains conversations between a doctor and patient, with several other characters (Heart, 2017). The material entails a series of images which are presented in the form of an animation. These conversations are designed in such a way that they create a sense of humor, while at the same time providing information about various issues related to different heart conditions and how to deal with them; these include heart transplants, surgeries, medication, and how to seek help when need be (Heart, 2017). For example, there is a scene where the doctor is providing the patient with a clock to remind him of when to take their medicine.
