The fireproof stacks are three-story, and they are based in the iron wing. Glass block floors, as well as glass roofs, have been used impressively to ensure that even the lower levels receive light. The initial design of this library was carefully thought to ensure that it could store up to 100,000 books. Further, the architecture gives it room for further expansion as deemed necessary since the south wall is movable. The windows are also inspirationally done with Shakespeare quotations inscribed occasionally. The building adopts both gothic architectures, as well as Venetian gothic architecture.
