Data protection when it comes to patients is imperative to prevent mistreatments or misdiagnoses. With the increase in technology, it is essential to ensure that the patient’s information does not appear online. To discover the elements of the study that I was conducting I had a meeting with the head of the information technology of a hospital. The essence of the meeting was to ensure that I understood the risks associated with information of a patient getting out in the public. During the meeting with the Head of the IT, we discussed the issues that are associated when there is a leak of patient’s information.
