The Seville cathedral is among the oldest and largest cathedrals globally. The location is in Seville, Spain, atop a sacred precinct. The denomination is Roman Catholic Church. A keen analysis of the construction reveal that Gothic cathedrals in Spain were a major inspiration for its construction (Ayarra, 1992). Alonso Martinez, a renowned Spanish architect is credited with the construction of the Cathedral. This was soon after Spanish forces had been successful in conquering Tenochtitlan. The construction of the cathedral, it must be noted, was done in sections, and this took place nearby the original church. The cathedral was completed in 1528.
