A case study research design is defined as an approach which is utilized in generating in-depth, and multifaceted understanding of complex issues within the real life context of the happening of such issues. While there might be a number of definition which can be provided describing the case study and based on the context within which it is used, the central tenet in all the definition remains the in-depth exploration of an event or phenomenon and within its natural context (Crowe et al., 2011). As a result of the natural context within which case studies taken place, they are sometimes referred to a naturalistic design which is opposed to the experimental design in which there are certain element which are controlled by the research.
