Answer preview
Consumers need to understand the law in order to safeguard their rights and interests. Notably, different governments have implemented different consumer protection laws that are based on a blend of different legislations. Consumer protection laws have evolved as a unique field of legislation that focuses on the general safeguarding and promotion of those interests and rights. Most of the businesses across the globe have been compelled to comply with the consumer protection laws. This clearly means that businesses are incurring additional costs to ensure compliance with the consumer protection laws.
