Student-centered learning, which is also commonly referred to as flexible-learning, child-centered learning, or experiential learning, describes the learning method in which learners are held responsible for the learning process; with teachers only acting as facilitators who use their learners’ interests to guide their efforts. It has been argued that the difference between student-centered learning and teacher-focused learning is merely philosophical. What is not often directly stated is that student-centered learning does not often accomplish educational objectives because the onus is on students to pursue information about different subjects.
