Naturally, the price of a product does not always translate to the value of the product. A product’s value to the customer is quite conspicuous because it solely depends on the customer’s subjective assessment. In the case of Huawei, they have made it possible such that their products are of superior value only in the same amount of money their customers are willing to pay for it. The superior value strategy therefore works closely with pricing because once the price exceeds the customer’s perceived value of the product, they will not buy. Conversely, Huawei have created really superior products that are fairly-priced, and this is what increases the perceived value by their customers. Once customers like me assess a product and realize that its value actually exceeds the price, we go for it.
