Ted’s action of disposing of the toxic waste on the county’s property is unethical because, putting a veil of ignorance, he risks trading his place with stakeholders in the county. When analyzing Ted’s place from the perspective of the veil of ignorance, it is important to note that Ted’s position involves rules which come prior to roles. The rules provide that wastes should be disposed of on a regular basis within designated sites, and complete manifest for the same. The rules also provide that disposal should not be anywhere else, but near or in the approved site within the community.
