Having endured a terrorist attack which could be considered as one of the worst in the American history, a change in strategy remained imminent. Aspects of national security related to terrorism had been considered as issues of law enforcement, but the impacts of the activity change the approach to national security. The war was aimed at combating militants across the globe and ensuring the safety of all American citizens around the world.
