The problems that MNEs faces when bargaining with unions in multiple countries is having to deal with a variety of unions that have different demands and procedures. For example, in some countries, the negotiations are done at the local then national level while in other countries, the negotiation is done at the local and national level at the same time. This makes coordination challenging for companies operating in many countries. The bargaining process is complicated, much time is wasted and finances. The problem therefore does not only affect the implementation but also directly affect the cost of operation of the company in the various countries.
