The most common element among the indigenous people is that they are at risk of invasion by the colonized and civilized groups (Dove, 2006). Moreover, they lack the basic resources that are provided to other civilized groups such as adequate health care, quality education, and proper housing. The lack of social amenities places such indigenous groups at great health risk compared to other communities (Curthoys, Genovese & Reilly, 2008).
