It is in human nature to choose a person whom they love, but it appears that in the society where the novel by Jane Austen was set, it is all about sense and sensibility, and nothing to do with wealth. The novel open up with the story of a man named Mr. Dashwood who married a very rich woman. From this relationship, there is one offspring who is named as the heir of all her mother’s wealth upon her death and that of his father.
