Answer preview

In essence, the impacts of nurse practitioners (NPs) in comparison to physicians (MDs) in reference to quality of health care services, effectiveness and safety of patients are similar regardless of the fact that NP training programs in the United States were created 50 years ago with less revisions and reviews. NPs have assumed more responsibilities in health care setting where they have been able to provide effective services to children and adults from all walks of life. The quality of services provided by NPs in reference to safety, effectiveness and care is similar to services provided by MDs where almost all patients are satisfied with their services during visits to the hospital. NPs and MDs provide effective services to hospitalized patients, patients suffering from low blood glucose and blood pressure regardless of different training programs in school. Thesis Statement: It is evident that NPs provide similar services in reference to safety, effectiveness and quality of care where patients’ satisfaction is the same as when attended by MDs.
