The article argues about a mutual relationship involving the Tories and UK independence group (UKIP). Harold Macmillan, the prime minister of Tori, had authorized the UK to join the European Economic Community. The article gives a detailed event on which party did what first and its attribution and responsibility. Conservative party achieved the synthesis of populism and Euroscepticism between the years 1997 and 2005. Still, Tories ended that fusion in the years 2006 and 2007. The abandonment of the fusion was labeled as a critical juncture by the historical intuitionalists (Farell, p.65, 2017). The UKIP failed the chance of pursuing the same strategy of gaining populism as Euroscepticism, which made it achieve electoral success in the year 2010. These were its primary drive, which made the conservative move back ineffectively to populist that lead to Cameron to decide on conducting a referendum, which was a decision that made the UK leave the EU.
