Answer preview

All along, I have believed that specific professionals like health practitioners are not compelled by any professional code of ethics to attend to patients. I knew that matters of the class played a role in determining how an individual could receive health services. However, cultural competence has challenged my reasoning in the sense that it compels professionals to demonstrate cultural competence towards clients regardless of the diverse values, beliefs and feelings (Sherwood and Russell, 2017).
