Prepare an academic research essay on a topic from the list at the end of these assignment instructions.
Your essay must focus on a specific aspect of the topic you have chosen, and your introduction should present a clear thesis statement, which the rest of the essay will develop and support.
Use a minimum of five research sources to a maximum of eight sources total. You may use “hard” sources like books and journals that you actually hold in your hands. For an academic essay, scholarly sources are preferable; there may (depending on your topic) be a need for you to use a more “popular” source such as a newspaper, but sources with greater academic credibility are stronger. Your research should draw on a combination of both primary and secondary sources.
You must use the MLA documentation style.
