Ms. O’Neill and the statistician responded and criticized Mr. Whall’s arguments. They utterly dismissed the budget expert’s opinions about the project’s crucial elements like the budget. However, they were wrong in their assessment of the observations, and they were defensive of the project’s progress. For instance, Ms. O’Neill claimed that Mr. Whall had made an incorrect interpretation of the data because the financial resources of the project were not fungible. The two project managers were probably trying to dismiss the fact that the project would not be economically feasible. During the project management process, real leadership is demonstrated through all stages, including budgeting. Hence, project managers must pay attention to the budget aspect and ensure it does not exceed the available resources (Klakegg and Lichtenberg, 2016). In response, Mr. Whall would have directed them to engage in an open audit of the funds and match them with the ambition of the project. He would offer professional advice for them to analyze how the project expenditure was beyond the estimated financial resources.
