Answer preview

Multinational enterprises (MNEs) are the major players in international trade, including Walmart and Kia. MNEs choose particular international strategies as a guide to their performance in the different countries where they operate. The literature on international strategy provides four key strategies through which firs may execute their presence in the international markets: global standardisation, international, localisation and transnational strategies (Pitt & Koufopoulos, 2012). Each of the four strategies involves a different strategic approach to optimise efficiency across the international markets and remain relevant to the customer needs and preferences as determined by the market conditions.
