Understanding And Implementing Lais Among Clinicians
Instructions
The first step of phase one is the formulation of a clinical question, using the PICOT
model for EBP (Stillwell et al., 2010). The clinical question is the topic of the scholarly
project. The second step is conducting an integrative literature review of the PICOT
question, as outlined by Whittermore and Knafl (2005). The literature is critically
appraised using the guidelines outlined by the Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP)
http://www.casp-uk.net/#!casp-tools-checklists/c18f8. Phase one concludes with a
state-of-the-science of the PICOT question and the proposal of a project based on the
finding from phase one.

The main requirement for the success of any new project is the engagement of support of stakeholders responsible for the routine enactment of the program. In this phase of the capstone project, the author explores strategies to engage NPs to understand the significance of LAI medication to reduce the rate of 30-day readmissions for people with Mental Illnesses. In addition, this section seeks to enable NPs to understand the reasons behind LAI preference to that of oral medication, address common concerns and potential barriers during the implementation. Essentially, the report will motivate practitioners to effect change in their practices.
